Signs You Grew Up in an Emotionally Unsafe Home (Without Realizing It)
Some homes weren't unsafe in the obvious ways. No violence, no visible neglect. From the outside — and often from the inside — the childhood looked fine. But there were rules. Unwritten, unspoken, absolutely enforced. Rules about which feelings were acceptable and which weren't. About what happened when you were too sad, too angry, too afraid, or simply too much. In this video, we look at signs that you grew up in an emotionally unsafe home — without realizing it. From learning to manage your parents' emotions before your own, to becoming very good at not needing things, to still feeling guilty for naming any of this. A child raised in that environment doesn't learn that their home was emotionally unsafe. They learn something far more personal: that their emotions are the problem. That they are the problem. You cannot tend to a wound you cannot see. This video is about finally seeing it. ───────────────────── 🕐 TIMESTAMPS ───────────────────── 00:00 – Introduction 02:09 – What makes a home emotionally unsafe?
