AmRev Presents: The Declaration’s Journey in Concert with The Jeremy Winston Chorale

The Jeremy Winston Chorale joined the Museum on January 16, 2026, to present a concert inspired by the world of our latest exhibition, The Declaration's Journey. The concert showcased 250 years of leadership and music in civil rights movements throughout American history – including Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy – with storytelling, instrumental accompaniment, and choral arrangements by composer and artistic director Dr. Jeremy Winston. Featuring more than 20 Chorale members and narrated by Museum staff and special guests, the concert included music familiar to the lifetimes and legacies of Lemuel Haynes, Richard Allen, Elizabeth Freeman, James Forten, and precedents to Martin Luther King, Jr.’s March on Washington, D.C. in 1963, that featured composers and musicians including Mahalia Jackson and Marian Anderson. Inspired by The Declaration’s Journey, presented by Griffin Catalyst, this event was supported by Sue and Eric Baelen. FEATURED GUESTS: State Representative Christopher M.
