I love the look that safety eyes can give your crocheted amigurumi, but they aren’t always easy to work with. Selecting the right size and style can be tricky when you decide to use a yarn that is different from what is listed in the pattern. Then there’s the struggle of getting each safety eye into the perfect position. So I’ve moved away from safety eyes and started crocheting them. This tutorial shares the pattern for a pair of eyes I designed for my Monkey Lovey pattern. It’s a low-sew crochet amigurumi pattern that I think you’ll love, and it will be available on my website.
