Diagnostics - A simple load test
In this video we are going to perform a simple load test using a 55 watt lamp, a jumper pack / battery, and simple tools. The idea behind this is to put a load in a single wire that you suspect to be faulty in order to burn it off, thus confirming your suspicions. The amperage a multimeter sends out during diode/continuity tests is far from enough to burn off any strands in a wire, so you will get a good reading even if there's just a single strand holding the wire together.
