Hello Riders! I'm sharing a new riding method based more on proprioception: CONNECTED RIDING. As you know, I'm always open to learning new methods and ways to connect with the horse, so here's a description of what connected riding is: It's a method that allows us to communicate better and have a better relationship with our horse, learning to connect with it by becoming aware of our body and position, as well as listening to the horse's body. Connected Riding, a method created by Peggy Cummings, is inspired by the most renowned pioneers in the use of proprioception: Sally Swift, Linda Tellington-Jones, Feldenkrais, Alexander, and martial arts. It offers us a method for riding in synchronization with the horse's movement, based on an understanding of both our own and the horse's biomechanics. In this video, we're joined by Melín M.
