“EUCARISTIA SOLENE” – Festa de São José - Toledo - Ilha de São Jorge (19.07.2026)

Yesterday, Sunday the 19th of this month of July, the village of Toledo, in the parish of Santo Amaro, municipality of Velas, São Jorge Island (Azores), celebrated its "BIG DAY" with the Feast in honor of its patron saint, Saint Joseph. The program for this Sunday's Feast included: Solemn Eucharist. Procession in honor of Saint Joseph. Concert by the Lusitânia Clube Recreio Velense Philharmonic Band. Fado night and closing of the festivities with fireworks. Info-Fajãs TV was present and made several reports about this day, which will be published in future editions as usual. Today we publish a report of the Solemn Eucharist, which was presided over by Father Vítor Medeiros and concelebrated by Father Pedro Aguiar. The liturgical chants were performed by the Toledo Choir Group with the participation of other groups such as Santo Antônio and Norte Grande. He accompanied organist João Manuel Sousa, all under the musical direction of conductor Marla Monteiro.
