Gauteng DSD introduces new funding clause for NGOs
The Gauteng Department of Social Development has introduced a clause prohibiting non-profit organisations from using provincial funding to pay non-South African employees. Deputy Director-General Tebello Mkhonto says the department is simply implementing existing legislative requirements. He insists that the policy is not new.
