However, when generally speaking, the correct way to talk about twill is "from the bottom left to the top right" or "from the bottom right to the top left." For the sake of clarity, I used the expression "top right to bottom left" to explain that it looks like the katakana character "ノ" (no). Twill weave with the grain that looks like the "ノ" character is sometimes called "right twill" and twill weave with the grain that looks like the "ノ" character is sometimes called "left twill."
