After a hectic journey from Chicago — including an extra luggage issue and a passport date-of-birth mix-up — we finally made it to Buffalo to meet some very special guests from Canada. You'll meet Sultan Bhai and Uzma, who traveled from Ontario, Canada, to spend the next three days with us. We checked into a cozy hotel in Buffalo and immediately set off in search of halal desi food — and that’s when the story took an unexpected turn. We discovered Clay Handi Restaurant, famous for serving food in traditional clay pots. But the surprise? The restaurant was owned by a well-known Pakistani entrepreneur, Qazi Masood, who instantly recognized me! What started as a casual dinner turned into a heartwarming meeting with a man who’s not only running successful businesses in the U.S., but also empowering young Pakistani entrepreneurs through mentorship and a place he calls the Pakistan House — a resort-style property on the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario.
