Tiong Bahru in Singapore 🌇 One of the best Neighbourhood Hangs!

“On the outskirts of Singapore, there’s a sleepy little neighborhood called Tiong Bahru. For the first of our neighborhood guides, we thought we’d first show you the place we’ve chosen to call home.” Unable to travel for the foreseeable future… rather than sulk about ruined plans & unfulfilled trips, we decided to shift our mindsets & take this as an opportunity to rediscover the incredible city that we live in, Singapore! 👉🏻 Singapore sometimes gets an unfair rep for being ‘boring’ — but if you scratch past the surface and delve beyond the obvious tourist spots (which to be fair, are pretty awesome in their own right) there is so much more to be discovered! We wanted to explore & share with you an insight into the different neighborhoods throughout Singapore, and give you a more authentic insight into life here. It’s human nature that we often take for granted what is on our doorstep — and as we adventure beyond our usual haunts, (just even in the last few weeks alone) we are starting to appreciate it more & more. We thought it deemed appropriate to start with the neighborhood we know best (ours of course!) — Tiong Bahru. Funnily enough, whilst we have our local spots & rituals such as Starter Lab Bakery, Tiong Bahru Market & Plain Vanilla, filming this video actually pushed us to try two places (Loo’s Hainanese Curry Rice & Bincho) which we’d been meaning to try for far too long (sometimes you just need a good reason to try somewhere new right?!) 👉🏻 We hope you enjoyed a little insight into our life in Tiong Bahru — we truly love our little neighborhood & all the hardworking people that make it such a wonderful place to live (& eat)!
