EBF5 V2.0.8: Scorchless Final Boss (ACES 1P)

All Challenges Epic Steroidless 1 Player (Matt Only) + Foe/Equip/Weather Remix. Since 2.0.8 removed Recycle RNG from 1P/2P/3P, I fight Dev Scorchless. Both Dev and Gigalith scale to player level in Foe Remix. Patch Notes: For 1P/2P/3P specifically, status infliction chances were halved and Recycle was made a dispel, so Dev lost its ability to randomly end a run. In addition, Combo Cap now doesn't affect instant death, allowing it to properly delete foes, and Less Player Resistance was changed to only nerf elemental resistances. Foes Attack First no longer activates on the first wave, which enables 100% completion and maximum DevBoost (24%). Dragon Feather still has an inaccurate description, as it is guaranteed haste. Gigalith: 300% more damage taken from summons + amplifier status almost oneshots Gigalith. Since it's no longer imperative to max out all my positive statuses, I can go full force. Dev: Surprisingly a hard fight despite acquiring Companion Cube, which is unarguably the second best flair in the game. Because I sacrificed regen for it, I have to occasionally eat food between turns to ensure that autorevive isn't popped before Dev attacks. The majority of the fight is spent managing its adds and Matt's buffs, with Dev as collateral damage. At 75% and 50% HP, Giga Doomsday is charged, but only succeeds in killing everyone else on the planet and fully charging a LB. Delete is used at 30% HP, which is around the kill zone of a fully buffed Seven Swords, and does no damage, nor does the status ever have a chance to ramp up. Dev trolls me though, and tells me it's going to delete when he was still a decent chunk of health above 30%, wasting my SP. Slimy Tentacle: does 4k damage max, is just free SP. Evil Eye: Similar deal, but it can also waste its turn with Recycle, which is now a dispel and doesn't do anything. Spikey Tentacle: No matter where this thing spawns, it has to be dealt with immediately. The threat ground smash forces me to keep my HP above 22k minimum if it spawns in the first row, and absolutely destroys my HP reserves in the last row. Annihilate is the limit of choice to deal with them, as they only have 50% death resistance, and no weakness to holy. Mini Glitches: Random damage per attack due to being able to use any element, but usually it will hit for 7-8k, enough to pose a threat. Extremely annoying to get rid of due to their high evade and their wacky resistances. Glitches that resemble a gray pixel can only be killed by nonelemental physical or elemental magic, so I just have to hope Annihilate connects with them despite the low accuracy. Glitches that look like green pixels die to the exact opposite, and Seven Sword is a guaranteed kill on them. Unfortunately, Seven Swords is not effective against tentacles, so I have to pick what I want to destroy every time those adds are together. still an easier fight than the 2.0.6. Dev fight that used Scorch, since there are no unpredictable BS recycles and Companion Cube can actually be obtained. Defeated it on the first try. As of 2020/01/18, ACES 1P Matt Solo is 100% completed.
