Some come from the culture around us — messages about who we should be, what we should have, and what makes a life meaningful. Some come from our own heads, replaying on a loop. And according to Scripture, some come from a real enemy who has been in the deception business since the beginning of time. Whether you've grown up in church or you're just checking this out, you know what it's like to believe something about yourself or the world that just isn't true. Deceived is the final chapter in our annual theme "Come and See." All year we've been inviting people to take an honest look at Jesus — to come curious, come skeptical, come as you are. In this series, we go after the lies that keep people from seeing clearly. Each week we name a lie that millions of people believe, hold it up to the light, and look at what Jesus actually says.
