Seville-San Pablo Airport, located about ten kilometers northeast of the city center, is the main airport in western Andalusia and the second busiest in the region after Malaga, especially for cargo. Opened in 1929 on an old estate known as "El Cortijo de San Pablo," originally used for military aviation and connections to Morocco, it has evolved significantly, especially with the 1992 renovation designed by Rafael Moneo, in which the terminal evokes Sevillian elements such as orange trees, arches, and glazed tiles that connect tradition and modernity. I was not allowed to film the passage through police control or the Duty Free area, the latter of which bothered me quite a bit.
