Written by Brent Dowe & Trevor McNaughton. First recorded and released in 1970 by the Jamiacan band The Melodians ( Reggae version ). In 1978 the German band " Boney M " recorded a disco version and made this song very popular in Europe. In Flanders " De Strangers " made a very funny Dutch version of it " Den Dopper ".The backing track for my instrumental version is made by me.
