The city is very old and of immense importance in the region. It has many buildings of historic interest such as the FIGUEIRA DA FOZ Bullfight Arena, one of Portugal's oldest casinos, churches, tiled buildings, the SANTA CATARINA FORTRESS and many nice beaches such as BUARCOS MOLHE-NORTE, CLARIDADE beach and many others.
