This concept is widely used by keyboardists and arrangers/producers when working with musicians in the recording studio. Guitarists and session musicians like Tim Pierce (one of the most successful in history - he has recorded guitars on more than 1,500 albums) consider this resource one of the most essential for knowing if a musician has true mastery of their instrument, or is at an "amateur" level. This technique gives us a smoother sound between chords when we learn to invert triads and play the closest position on the fretboard, instead of jumping around using only closed positions. Study this concept slowly, gradually incorporating open triads into your musical vocabulary, and before you know it, you'll feel the need to play with this resource naturally. 00:00 Intro 01:07 Open Triads 03:48 Basic Harmonic Field with Open Triad in Root Position 05:23 Open Triads on the 6th String of the Bass String 06:50 Open Triads on the 4th String of the Bass String 09:29 Minor Open Triads 16:18 Example of a Progression Using This Technique 20:21 Example of Improvisation with This Technique 23:55 Conclusions ► LINK TO MY PATREON PAGE: / jpoproducer ► Virtual Tip Jar: https://paypal.me/jpoproducer ► LINK TO EAR TRAINING WEBSITE: https://tonedear.com/ear-training/int...
