Last Days of State/Lake

In August of 2025, the CTA announced their intention to close the State/Lake L station for a complete rebuild. We documented the last weeks of service at this 130 year old station. State/Lake station opened on September 22, 1895, as part on the Lake Street Elevated Railroad's extension into the Chicago Loop.
