FRA Asked to Announce 2026 Maize Buying Price

By ZANIS President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on the Food Reserve Agency –FRA- to promptly announce the 2026 crop marketing price to help farmers plan effectively for the upcoming season. The President has also urged farmers across the country not to sell all their maize harvest, but to keep enough for household consumption while awaiting the price announcement. President HICHILEMA has commended farmers for responding positively to the Government’s call to increase agricultural production. He was speaking shortly before departing from Choma after concluding his working visit to Southern Province. ZANIS reports.....
