Historia #93 Ślady. A-5116 nie wie, kim jest. Opowieść o Ewie Krcz-Sieczce

Subscribe to the new channel:    / @po89.ztamtejpolski   Story 93, titled "Traces. A-5116 Doesn't Know Who She Is," follows Ewa Krcz-Sieczka, a prisoner of the German Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, numbered A-5116. She assumed this identity at the age of two or three. She never learned who she really was—when and where she was born, what her name was, or who she was sent to the Birkenau barracks as. This is the story of an unnamed girl whose life was saved and loved by strangers like their own child. It's a story about the desire to discover the truth about oneself, about the bitterness that comes from revisiting the past. Are you interested in the stories we present? Do you appreciate our work? In September 2023, we are launching the TELL THEM ABOUT AUSCHWITZ. LIVE project. We want to visit every municipality in Poland with stories about Auschwitz. Because the challenge is enormous, we are asking for your help – encourage cultural centers or libraries in your towns to invite us to an author meeting. The meeting can be supplemented with a screening of documentaries produced by the Association and awarded at international film festivals. The format of the author screenings – tested and refined during over 200 screenings across Poland – is engaging for viewers/listeners, thought-provoking, and full of knowledge and positive emotions. As part of the project, we offer several programs (to choose from): Against the Evil of Auschwitz. Pilecki, Kolbe, Kołodziej (choose from the films "Pilecki" and "The Indifferent") In the Footsteps of Witold Pilecki (choose from the films "Pilecki" and "Escape from Hell") The Indifferent from Auschwitz (choose from the films "The Indomitable. Under the Wire of Auschwitz," "The Indifferent," and "The Mirror") – a story about good people in inhuman times and in a place reminiscent of hell on Earth The Indomitable. The Home Army and Auschwitz (choose from the films "Pilecki," "Escape from Hell," "The Indomitable. Under the Wire of Auschwitz," "The Indifferent," and "The Mirror") – a riveting story about extraordinary heroes, soldiers of the Home Army, who had to perform their combat duties in or near Auschwitz. Potential audiences: elementary school students (grades 7-8) and high school students – a film history lesson Universities of the Third Age Film Discussion Clubs open screenings for all interested parties
