This felt like a really big milestone for little Kiki 🤍 For those of you who have been following her journey, you'll know that I bought Kiki last October as a very green four year old, and since then we've been quietly working away behind the scenes, taking our time and building everything step by step. This week was a huge one for her, with lots of firsts and lots of growing up, but the biggest of them all was taking her to her **first ever show**. For her debut outing I wanted to keep things as low key and stress free as possible, so we headed to one of our local venues for a combined training competition. The aim wasn't really about results, it was all about giving her a positive experience and helping her learn about the world. This was Kiki's first time seeing white dressage boards, her first time working in a competition atmosphere, and one of the first times she's really had to go into an arena completely on her own, leaving the other horses around her. I was so proud of how she handled herself. Young horses can find these things overwhelming, but she kept trying, kept learning, and gave me a real glimpse of the horse I hope she might become in the future. To make the day even more special, she somehow managed to come away with a result that I definitely wasn't expecting... but I'll let you watch the video to find out what happened 👀 Exciting times ahead for this little mare, and I genuinely cannot wait to see where this journey takes us.
