Precious Opal Playtime! Making a Gorgeous Heap of Opal Triplets and Doublets out of Spencer Opals!
In this one, we take a pile of Spencer opals and make some triplets! The process is straightforward but a bit time consuming. Spencer opal forms as thin bars inside the opal, making it difficult to use as normal cabochons, but by grinding down to the layers, gluing it to a backing, and attaching a quartz cap, you can pull incredible cabochons out of EVERY color bar! We got some absolutely fantastic results! I hope you all enjoy this one, and I will have another one out soon! Want to get some of these opals for yourself?
