Andrea explains all the tricks needed to perform a staccato well. Since 2003, Andrea Oliva has been the Principal Flute of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and has performed as a soloist in some of the world's most important venues: Carnegie Hall in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art in London in the presence of Queen Elizabeth, Bunka Kaikan Hall in Tokyo, the Hong Kong Academy, in Chile, and Cuba. At just 23, he was invited as Guest Principal Flute by the Berlin Philharmonic under the baton of prestigious conductors such as Abbado, Gergiev, Oramo, Jansons, and Haitink.
