旗遇海味與鏢魚手──台東成功的珍珠

“Cheng Gong became prosperous through the fishing industry, and I hope the fishing industry doesn’t cause it to fade away.” Cheng Gong Fishing Harbor in Taitung is famous for its rich, high-quality catches thanks to the Kuroshio current. The fishers here strive to live in harmony with nature through ocean-friendly fishing methods, like pole spearfishing and longlining. The seafood from here represents their respect and appreciation for the ocean. In 2018, Lin Yu Bin came back to Cheng Gong, his hometown, and opened the restaurant MEET MARLIN, inviting visitors to experience this local fishing village. Lu Cheng Shuo, the youngest pole spearfisher in Taiwan, now in his early adulthood, has been fishing since the age of 17. He calls on the younger generation to join him and continue to care for the ocean.
