This 40 years old Forest Rest House, at Mayudia, stands like a forgotten guardian of the mountains. It was constructed between 1984 and 1986. According to Daju, the lone caretaker who dedicated 33 years of service before retiring, the building has stood silently through decades of changing seasons. Its weathered wooden walls, cracked windows, sagging ceilings, and creaking floors whisper stories from another era. Every gust of wind seems to echo through its empty corridors, giving the place an eerie charm. Locals and travellers have long shared rumours of the presence of a ghost and strange sounds after dark, adding to its mysterious reputation.
