Welcome to Leucate, here is the spot report for kitesurfers and windsurfers from Etange de la Palme, behind the spot La Franqui, at the front of the coast. If you don't have a contract with decent wind conditions or are not afraid of traumatising hits, this is the place for you. This is the place where the term hackwind originated and the Trami gusts from 15 to 35 knots and I keep asking myself what makes Leucate so popular. This time everything went the other way round for me and you can see what that looks like in my spot report. The approximately 3km long and 800 metre wide water playground is often blown in from the north-west by the Tramontana in spring and the ideal entry point is then in the north-eastern corner.
