Hey everyone! 🌿 Ultra march through the Southern Heath – an adventure in the Lüneburg Heath! 🌿 Start and finish: Unterlüß. From here, the route leads into a landscape that is second to none – the Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve. Endless sandy paths, blooming heathlands, mystical forests, and the vast expanses of the Misselhorn Heath. It's already clear at the first refreshment point: This isn't just about racking up the miles, but also about enjoying yourself. The fantastic organizers put a lot of heart and soul into creating a great atmosphere – and what's on the table is almost too good to pass up: from sandwiches to homemade cakes that are almost legendary. But nature is not only beautiful, it's also wild: There are repeated stories of free-roaming wolves, and with a little luck, you might spot shy mouflons among the pines. The sandy ground demands strength, the kilometers drag on – but that's exactly what makes the Heide Ultramarch so special. I met a lot of great people, even if it was my first time at the Ultramarch, we already knew each other from other events or from TV 😃. In any case, the Ultramarch is not for the faint of heart; the routes must be completed within a certain time, otherwise, there's no medal waiting for you at the end. That means getting moving and definitely not taking a long break 😱.
