Musashi Silver Series Katana: A Quick Overview

A quick look at some examples from the Musashi Swords "Silver" series: 1060 clay tempered (55RC) blades, real ray skin Same under cotton Ito wrap, cheap cast fixtures. Shown are a currently available "Musashi" and a Unokubi Zukiri version, compared to an older out-of-manufacture Kogarasu Maru (that still has the Musashi logo emblazoned on the Habaki instead of more subtly on the Seppa). The current generation are good, inexpensive "working" swords: pretty well-balanced and the grip profiles are comfortable. Nothing fancy. Kind of like buying a decent basic hammer for use around the house. For $150-200 (as low as $105 on some sites) you get a lot of sword for the money. Just fine for beginners and abusive cutting stunts, or just a workhorse practice blade.
