(AFTER) UCSD Traffic Lights Upgraded To LED's (Villa La Jolla Dr & VA Medical Center)

This AFTER video was filmed May 12, 2026. Here is my BEFORE video from November 2020 of when the traffic signals had incandescent bulbs and older LED's in them.    • (BEFORE) Old UCSD Traffic Signals With Inc...   It was sometime in 2022 when the traffic signals here and another block behind me had an LED upgrade with all new LED lights in the red's, yellow's, and green's. Even the LED's that were already in some of the signals here were replaced with new LED lights. The street lights that you see on top that are for LPS bulbs had LED retrofit bulbs put in there and I thought that was nice to see and it gives everything a warm appearance at night. I guess it's an effort to save electricity. There's really nothing else to upgrade with these signals now because when they were new, all of the yellow and green lights were incandescent, all of the pedestrian signals were neon hand/man, standard pedestrian buttons, and the LPS street lights. Now it's all LED's in the traffic lights, all countdown pedestrian signals, talking countdown buttons, and LED street lights.
