Saving John-Rover, first drive in 45 years ...but all isn't well !

Work continues on John-Rover, the FREE 1937 Rover 10 that had spent 45 years hidden away in a barn. This week the aim is to get the old Rover back on its wheels and driving once again. The remaining rotten interior comes out, the damaged sunroof frame is removed, a brand-new exhaust system is fabricated and fitted, and with help from my friend Phil the rusted front wings are welded so the running boards can finally be installed. The new timber floor goes in, along with a seat, before attention turns to the brakes, wheel bearings and getting the Rover safely back on its wheels. The good news? The engine runs beautifully, the brakes work well and John-Rover finally drives under his own power. The bad news? A dragging clutch leads us to investigate with a endiscope revealing a rusted gearbox input shaft. There's only one thing left to do... remove the gearbox which also doesn't go to plan ! Will we free the clutch and get John-Rover back on the road? That's a job for next time. i f you did indeed enjoy the video I'd really appreciate it if you give it a like and comment, and to keep updated please hit the old subscribe button .... get yer T-shirts, stickers here https://oakswamprags.bigcartel.com/ please be sure to check out my other content....thanks Bryan
