Old Ford New Adventure. Lot 32 Water Truck Tune up, and a hunt for the West Side Shoreline.
Many folks seem to be under the impression that I have some kind of mechanical training or education, but all of this knowledge came from the necessity of keeping old vehicles mobile. Growing up in a small town, I didn't realize that this asset/requirement was not international. For the most part, we all drove old rigs. From my Sisters Carbureted Chrysler , to rusted out pick ups and my barely running boat car, we all got an education of what to do and a healthy dose of what not to do. Fast forward a few years, to a time where everyone seems to need a brand new fancy car, I feel myself lost fixing these old rigs. Truth be told, these vehicles are tools in my little business, and for me, a tool is something that I need to be able to service, repair and replace. This particular tool (the ol ford) has brought on a fair bit more maintenance and repair than I had hoped, but the reason I bought it is because I can fix it, and that I will do, and subsequently the task required of it will be done too. Part of this weeks fix was only possible because of some local help, and for that I am very thankful. If you're in need of some sandblasting work in the Cariboo, Terra Abrasives has a big Destination Adventure seal of approval. [email protected] 250-319-9219 A good running truck is important, but for me, a fixable truck is even more important, and thats just what this old Ford is for me. It doesn't matter if I'm tightening a battery cable or head bolt, I will keep the old girl going down the road, and soon enough she will keep the water tanks at Lot 32 full. Trucks aside, this little lot of mine is right in the heart of some very extensive history in my area of BC, and in fact the entire province. I will be telling this full story in the future, but for now we can enjoy some awesome micro adventures. And what an absolutely amazing way to get to learn my front/back yard.
