During my childhood, Sunday mornings were dedicated to attending church, where I gained valuable insights on living a life in alignment with Christian principles through Sunday school. Although I cherished the church community and the friendships I formed, I didn't particularly resonate with Gospel music. However, as I entered my high school years, a new genre called House Music emerged, capturing my attention. I frequented venues such as The Music Box, Sauer's, and COD's, immersing myself in this burgeoning scene. However, as an adult, I faced challenges in finding places and DJs who played authentic "House" music. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, I began collecting cassette tapes from some of Chicago's most renowned DJs, capturing their electrifying mixes. As CDs rose in popularity, my collection grew exponentially, yet the quest to find DJs who matched the energy of the early House era remained elusive. This led me to embark on my own DJing journey in 1999. It was during this time that I stumbled upon a hidden gem within the music world known as "Gospel House."
