Évolution des thérapies dans la myélofibrose (MF) - Conférence sur les néoplasmes myéloprolifératifs

Myelofibrosis (MF) is a rare type of bone marrow cancer. Normal bone marrow is replaced by scar tissue due to the presence of abnormal cells. Over time, because of this fibrous scar tissue, the bone marrow has more difficulty producing normal blood cells. Fortunately, research on myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) has led to advancements in treatments and management. In this one-hour webcast, Dr. Pierre Villeneuve, a hematologist at The Ottawa Hospital, reviewed MF and the evolution over time of diagnosis, treatment options, and aspects of follow-up care.
