🔴⚪🟢 1901-1914: Fluminense, Oscar Cox e a origem da Seleção Brasileira⚽#fluminense #históriadofutebol

🎙️ Before the National Team, there was a path. At the beginning of the 20th century, football was already organized in São Paulo, while in Rio de Janeiro it was still seeking space among more popular sports, such as rowing and horse racing. From 1901 onwards, Oscar Cox began to spread the practice of football in Rio, a movement that would lead to the founding of Fluminense Football Club in 1902. This video follows this historical overview: the first games in Rio, the presence of rowing clubs like Vasco, Botafogo and Flamengo, the role of Oscar Cox, the emergence of Fluminense, and the match against Exeter City in 1914 at Laranjeiras, linked to the first formation of the Brazilian National Team.
