🎶✨ AIR FESTIVAL 2025 – A Celebration of Indigenous Arts & Culture! ✨🎭 On 21 March 2025, the African Indigenous Renaissance (AIR) Festival brought the magic of music, dance, and creativity to Kranshoek Community Centre, Plettenberg Bay! Hosted by the Cape Town Arts Festival in partnership with the Ariva Arts Foundation, this FREE multi-genre festival was a spectacular tribute to South Africa’s rich cultural heritage. With the support of Bitou Municipality, the National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC), the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC), the Presidential Employment Stimulus Program (PESP5), the Western Cape Government’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS), the SAMPRA Development Fund and Plett Tourism, the festival made a massive impact—empowering artists, businesses, and the local creative economy! 🎤 174 incredible artists took the stage. 🎨 46 vendors shared their crafts. 👏 Over 3,000 festivalgoers including 300 children experienced the magic of indigenous arts and culture! 🔥 Featuring electrifying performances by: 🎶 Dizu Plaatjies & Ibuyambo 🎶 The AIR Project Musicians 🎶 DJ Mjilo, Breeze’n, Esam Nzimeni, Major Masie, Mr. Chaos, Eno Da Cool Dude, DJ Mzakes, Tolos the DJ, Gershwin Ruiters, Percival Windvogel, Zanele Menzi, and more! 💃🏾 The AIR Dance Challenge African Dance Groups brought energy from Bitou and beyond! 🔥 RielDansers from Kranshoek, Montagu & Vredendal delivered powerful performances! 🕺 Dance Teachers: Amanda Valela, Elsabe Cloette, Tracy Ann. 🎤 Your MCs: Bravo Sobekwa, Bulelwa Mathole, Heinrich Van Wyk. 🎭 Bringing more magic to the festival: 🎨 Crafters, Face Painters, Magicians, & Craft Teachers: Linda Gusha, Sonwabisi Mbalo, Nceba Gongxeka, Pitso Boitumelo, Andiswa Jacobs, Washen Kamupambe, Ndabazinhle Nkomo, Katarzyna Kwiecinska, Elijah Murimi, Indigicul, Margaret Omari, Gatsby Lunbanza Mpoyi, Khangelani Ngcwembe, Siphamandla Mphathi, Michael Nyoni, Kelvin Mtombeni, Eugene Lewis, and Xolani Sibiya! 🌍 A Huge THANK YOU to every artist, dancer, vendor, and festivalgoer who made AIR Festival 2025 a monumental success! 📲 Want to relive the moments?
