Orange Walk in Coventry

Loyal Orange Institution of England - Midlands Provincial Boyne Parade & Service, Coventry, 13 June 2026. Coventry was an important staging post for King William III and his army as they made their way to Ireland to do battle with King James II. King William briefly visited Coventry on 5 June 1690 and many of his commanders and generals stayed in the city. Thousands of his soldiers camped in and around Coventry or passed through it including the famous Dutch Blue Guards. The first Orange Lodge in Coventry existed in the early 1800s up to around 1825. Orangeism was revived in the city in the late 1940s / early 1950s by men from Belfast and Donegal; at one stage there were three lodges. This parade rotates around the Midlands. https://gole.org.uk/midlands/ #coventry #orangeman #orange #loyalist #procession #parade #protestant #nosurrender #corby #birmingham #kidderminster
