Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists (SNAP) & Alberta Printmakers (A/P) in conjunction with Alberta Culture Days Present Prairie Impressions Part 1: Meet the Artist K. Gwen Frank K. Gwen Frank graduated with honours from AUArts (Alberta College of Art and Design) in 1983 and continued her fine art education through the University of Calgary. She holds a BFA in Printmaking from AUArts. Since the early ‘80s she has participated in over a hundred national and international juried exhibitions, and has had a number of solo exhibitions. She has participated in four artist-in-residence periods at Atelier GRAFF in Montreal: Centrum Frans Masereel in Kasterlee, Belgium; l’Association de la Cardabelle in Cruéjouls, Aveyron, France; and was invited to participate in Slovakia’s 1st International Printmaking Symposium, Portfolio and Exhibition in Bratislava. She has given many intaglio workshops and lectures at University of Waterloo, Ontario; Wake Forest University, North Carolina; Hollins University, Virginia, and throughout Alberta. She continues to work from her Calgary and East Coulee studios in southern Alberta, focusing on intaglio techniques, watercolour and drawing. K.
