YES GUYS, IT’S YOUR BOYYY MUNGO THE MAMMOTH AND WE’RE BACK WITH ANOTHER EPISODE OF INSIDE THE ANIMAL KINGDOM. 🦣🌴⚔️ Today we’ve got a RAW MONSTER LEG DAY. Leg day has always been one of my favourite days of the week. There’s something about the brutality of it that I love. The challenge. The suffering. The opportunity to find out what you’re really made of when things start getting uncomfortable. This session was absolutely insane from start to finish. We kicked things off on the Dorian Yates Hack Squat and took things to a very dark place. Heavy sets, high-rep suffering and an all-out final death set that had me questioning every life decision I’d ever made. From there it was heavy hamstring curls, leg extensions taken to complete failure and calves finished off on the leg press. No fancy exercises. No complicated methods. No shortcuts. Just hard work. A lot of people ask me what I think is the biggest factor behind progress. For me, it’s belief. Not motivation. Not genetics. Not the perfect program. Belief. Belief when you’re tired. Belief when you’re beat up. Belief when the weight feels heavy. Belief when every part of you wants to rack the weight and call it a day. I genuinely believe most people are capable of far more than they think. The problem is they stop the moment things become difficult. They stop when doubt creeps in. They stop when discomfort arrives. Progress comes from pushing beyond that point. Some of the biggest breakthroughs I’ve ever had in training have come from taking reps I wasn’t sure I could get, refusing to quit when my mind was telling me to stop and finding another level when I thought there was nothing left.
