Cobalt Lake & Painted Tepee Peak ~ A Gorgeous Alpine Lake & Summit in Glacier’s Two Medicine Valley
Hiking to Cobalt Lake and scrambling to the summit of Painted Tepee Peak - The Two Medicine section of Glacier National Park hosts incredible adventure possibilities. We took the Sinopah ferry shuttle across Two Medicine Lake and hiked up to Cobalt Lake via Two Medicine Pass Trail. I added a fun scramble up to the Continental Divide and Painted Tepee Peak to overlook two separate canyons and the surrounding peaks. East Glacier and Two Medicine Valley are much less busy than Lake McDonald, Many Glacier and Saint Mary areas. Two Medicine's more remote location keeps the numbers to a minimum, even though the beauty is on par with the more popular areas of Glacier. This was an excellent, shorter adventure in Two Medicine Valley!
