In this episode, I drive my Jimny deep into the wilderness of Australia’s high country for another solo hot tent camp. With the wood stove crackling day and night, I stayed warm and cozy against the alpine chill. What truly made this trip special, though, were the encounters with Australia’s iconic native wildlife—wombats and kangaroos. One wombat wandered right up near my campsite, completely unfazed by my presence. It scratched itself, shuffled about lazily, and carried on as if I weren’t even there—such a charming and unforgettable moment!
