Join Mario and his new companion, Olivia, on a humorous adventure that will take you to the farthest corners of a world made of paper in Paper Mario: The Origami King for Nintendo Switch. PIECE BY PIECE: King Olly's folded minions and papier-mâché henchmen have wreaked havoc everywhere, tearing away large chunks of the landscape, creating holes that prevent you from moving forward. Luckily, all you need to do is cover them with magic confetti to make them as good as new. What's more, every time you repair a hole, you'll get a little surprise, whether it's a handful of coins or a Toad in distress. To avoid running out of confetti, hit everything in sight with your hammer: trees, grass, baddies (big and small), and much more! RETURN HOME: Scattered to the four winds due to the invasion, the inhabitants of Toadville need your help! You'll find the poor creatures crumpled, bent, and generally pretty smashed. Give them a good whack with your hammer to restore them, then send them on their way home. As you rescue the Toads, some of them will return to Toadville, which will gradually become more vibrant, and shops and other locations will reopen. Stop by from time to time to see which businesses have reopened and gear up for your journey! KING OF THE RINGS: Battles against the folded minions require skill and ingenuity. You'll fight on a ring-shaped terrain: Mario occupies the center, and the bad guys are positioned around it. Carefully slide and rotate the rings to group the enemies together. If you do it correctly, you'll deal even more damage when it's your turn to attack. But be careful: you only have a limited number of moves and time is running out, so don't get distracted! Choose the right attack based on the enemy formation! Boots are ideal for stomping on enemies standing in a straight line; hammers, on the other hand, are perfect for giving bad guys a good beating when they group up. BEWARE OF BOSSES: The folded henchmen are tough to deal with, but compared to the bosses under King Olly's command, they're a minuscule threat. When you face these giants, the fight takes on a very different character: the bosses will take over the battlefield, and Mario will have to figure out how to attack them. Turn and slide the arrows and action boxes to get Mario closer to the boss and attack its weak points. Health-recovery items and even treasure chests may appear in the rings, so you'll have to plan your attack wisely to collect as many of them as you fight your way to the boss's deserved reward. ARMED TO THE TEETH: Mario has plenty of room to carry a real arsenal! In addition to his trusty boots and hammer, you can equip Mario with additional hammers and boots, which give him even more combat abilities. While these items are very attractive, they will wear out over time, so be sure to refresh your gear from time to time. Looking for a little more variety in your abilities? Accessories allow you to enhance Mario's abilities both in and out of battle: from buying more time to solve puzzles to hoovering up confetti from greater distances. BY MAGIC: Magic circles are scattered everywhere: extraordinary power is concentrated within them, allowing Mario to use his mysterious extendable arms. This ability allows him to interact with the world around him to turn keys, knock over objects, and even rescue King Olly's captives. These enchanted places even appear during boss battles, allowing Mario to wreak origami mayhem! Plus, rumor has it that within some magic circles, Olivia can transform into powerful origami beasts...
