Property of WLS Television, Incorporated. Message for removal. After 41 years as one of Chicago's most prolific sportscasters, ABC 7 Chicago sports director Jim Rose retired on September 15, 2023. Working his way up from weekends, to 4pm, to the marquee evening newscasts, he was around to witness championships from all the major Chicago sports teams, and developed close relationships with many coaches and players, some of whom appear during the tributes. Also appearing are colleagues Cheryl Burton, Ravi Baichwal, Judy Hsu, Samantha Chatman, and Cheryl Scott. No word yet on his successor.
