Floating Engineered Hardwood

This time we talk about installing a floating engineered hardwood flooring; from old carpet tear out, subfloor prep, underlayment, installation of the hardwood, and trim install. The installation of this flooring was actually quite easy and is within the ability of the average DIYer. The most difficult part was the subfloor prep and undercutting of the fireplace stone, but both of those actions were specific to our room where we were installing the flooring. Without those or other issues, this could be a 1-2 day job with no special tools required beyond a miter saw and a table saw.
