Coffey Modular Water Treatment Plant Ukraine

Coffey and Coftec have completed the build of a modular water treatment plant for Uisce Éireann Irish Water, who are donating it to Ukraine. The plant will help to alleviate issues with the supply of clean drinking water to the people of the embattled country. It is estimated that over 1.4 million people in eastern Ukraine have no access to safe drinking water. The donation from Uisce Éireann will help to alleviate this shortage and provide much-needed relief to the Ukrainian people. Coftec offers an array of scalable modular treatment plants for water and wastewater treatment. These plants can be used in both municipal and industrial settings, and they come in a variety of site layouts. The designs use both 20ft and 40ft containers to house either pressure filtration systems, UV disinfection systems, or both. Treatment to flows ranging from 40m3/hr to 120m3/hr are available. All the necessary pipework and ancillary equipment pertinent to the end use requirement are integrated, which enables these self-contained water solutions to be operational quickly once placed in situ. Applications include municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment, temporary, and emergency water supply. The specific unit provided to Uisce Éireann is a Type A modular water treatment plant. The Type A Modular Treatment Plant is built in a 40-foot shipping container. It is capable of treating up to 40m3/hr of water and includes pressure filtration and UV disinfection systems. The unit is fully automated and can be controlled remotely. As the video shows, it is also highly portable and is easily transported to any location.
