On the morning of May 11th, the Hanoi People's Council approved a resolution authorizing the investment in the Red River Landscape Boulevard Project, with a projected scale of over 11,000 hectares. The project extends from Hong Ha Bridge to Me So Bridge, affecting approximately 200,000 people in 16 communes and wards along both banks of the river. The total investment is estimated at around 737,000 billion VND, with completion expected by 2030. Located within the planned area are the peach and kumquat villages of Nhat Tan and Tu Lien, on the right bank of the Red River. However, unlike other spontaneously developed residential areas that will be relocated, the Nhat Tan peach growing area will be preserved. The city will reshape the infrastructure to transform these areas into experiential tourism spaces and creative economic zones. The entire project is expected to be implemented from 2026 to 2038. It will be divided into two phases. Phase 2 (2026-2030) will prioritize the completion of the main infrastructure projects, including the scenic boulevard along both sides of the river; embankments and riverbed/bank stabilization; and public parks.
