Oz: T-storms & wintry blast: SA, NSW, Vic, Tas & A.C.T
Thunderstorms in SA this morning will spread further into NSW today and wet weather will also spread over parts of Vic, Tas and the A.C.T. Behind this is a change to windy westerlies - up to gale force in exposed places - which is likely to affect southern parts of SA, Vic, the A.C.T, Tas and the south-east corner and eastern side of NSW over Thursday and/or Friday. Temperatures drop behind the westerlies as they turn more south-west, bringing snow above a few hundred metres to Tas and also possible around the Victorian Alps. Showers continue around southern and western parts of WA - with more on the way, although a bubble of high pressure will dry things out for a time, Qld has coastal showers in the east, but also a few inland downpours and thunderstorms are possible - along with some thunderstorms for central and southern parts of the NT. Norfolk Island and Lord Howe Island have a wintry change on the way this weekend and early next week as southerlies and showers/thunderstorms move through.
