crank, no start, no codes will drive you crazy...do the test

What happens to all of us at one time or another when are vehicle fails, and we all feel the frustration. Crank, no start means that the starter is turning the motor over all the lights are on but it will not turn on and the engine is running like normal. First thoughts... Do I have fuel? Do I have any problems with my fuel gauge reading correctly? Do I have a check engine light? Has it been running sluggish or different within the past few days week or month? Does the weather water, outside temperatures rainy weather, anything have any effects on the running condition? Think of the basics if you are mechanically inclined or if you know someone that is. There are three things that make it run besides just all the electronics, that you must have and that is fuel air and spark. If the vehicle cranks, or turns over easily, but has a hard time starting, or no start and no codes and you have scanned it.... You have to check for fuel air and spark. The key is if you have no codes from the computer, your check engine light turns on with the key meaning communication, your security system is not flashing crazy meaning it is a security fault, you have to do the checks. If you have spark as the motors turning over it is getting signal.... You more than likely will have air or not have a problem with air- but do not count that out. Your fuel system consist of the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors. All you need to know is what the fuel pressure is and if it meets the specification of your vehicle. Just because you hear the fuel pump turn on does not mean you have adequate fuel pressure to start the vehicle. Ask a friend for a fuel pressure gauge if they have one, go to the parts store to rent one, but until you visually see with your eyes to confirm is the only way to know what it is. The main thing I want to state, we cannot make things work or make problems go away because we don't want them to, we have to act and do. If we just read all the forums and we talked to 10,000 people, it will not fix the vehicle, we still have to test.
