1 Del mito al logos

This video analyzes the birth of Western philosophy in ancient Greece as a fundamental intellectual transition known as the shift from myth to logos. It explains that this change replaced poetic narratives of divine beings with a rational and ordered explanation of the universe, driven by a context of economic prosperity, cultural exchange, and freedom of thought. Through the wonder and critical detachment afforded by writing, the pre-Socratic thinkers began to see nature as an intelligible cosmos governed by internal laws rather than capricious whims. Ultimately, the work highlights how philosophy emerged as a disinterested quest to understand the origin and essence of reality through reasoned discourse.
