FIRST TIME EVER BEING IN HOSPITAL IN GUANGZHOU,, ASKING ABOUT CATARAC OPERATION

Disclaimer: I know my English and Chinese are both far from perfect. . MY FIRST EXPERIENCE GOING TO A HOSPITAL IN CHINA . With only HSK 3... how did I even have the courage to go? :) . Anyway, I was surprised by how fast and affordable the process was. I only needed to complete the registration and consultation. The doctor spoke a little English, and we also used a translator to communicate. . The hospital is The Third Affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University, located at No. 183 Zhongshan Avenue West, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, China. . For a cataract procedure, the estimated cost is around 20,000 RMB for both eyes. . Update: In the end, we decided not to have the surgery in China and chose to do it back in Indonesia instead. Since we would have needed to stay in China for almost two months, we felt it wasn't the best decision. The language barrier also made us feel less comfortable throughout the process. . Despite my experience, I still think it's worth considering. If you need to get a check-up or any medical consultation in China, I recommend hiring a translator to make the whole process smoother and easier. . I hope this random vlog gives you a little more insight into the healthcare system in China, especially in Guangzhou. . Thank you so much for watching, don't forget to like and subscribe me.
