15 PIORES ERROS NA INSTALAÇÃO DE PISOS - PORCELANATO, CERÂMICO E PISO VINÍLICO

CONSTRUCTION ERRORS are common, especially when there's poor planning or a poor team, leading to DECORATING ERRORS, waste, losses, and botched jobs. Many errors occur when installing flooring, so we need to be vigilant. We shouldn't just consider whether we're going to use VINYL FLOORING, PORCELAIN TILE, LAMINATE FLOORING, STONE, or floor finishes like POLISHED PORCELAIN TILE, SATIN TILE, etc. Today, I'm going to list 15 common construction errors when installing flooring. ITEM 1 – SUBFLOOR – Check if the subfloor is in good condition, if it's coming loose, if it has many uneven surfaces, if it's dirty with grease, dust, oil, or even if there were any design errors. The most commonly used subflooring ratio is 1:3 to 1:6 cement and sand, but problems can arise due to structural movement. Also be careful with EPS subfloors and Styrofoam. Use the correct density and a pop mesh to prevent cracks. ITEM 2 – NOT FOLLOWING THE FLOOR ARROW – There is an arrow behind the flooring indicating the correct side to glue it. Flooring generally has a degree of warpage, and if we don't follow the manufacturer's instructions, we can create bumps in the flooring that can cause tripping, trapped furniture, and dirt to accumulate. ITEM 3 – SLOPE IN THE SUBFLOOR – This is a common mistake. The first is not using the level correctly and having a subfloor without a slope. The second is losing the slope after gluing the floor using a floor leveler. ITEM 4 – FLOOR SIZE – In addition to the slope we need to leave in the subfloor, we must be concerned about the floor size. In bathrooms where the drain is in a corner and more than one slope is needed for this drain, using large-format tiles and tiles can compromise the slope. ITEM 5 – USING THE WRONG MORTAR – There are many types of mortar, each with its own purpose. Among the most common mortars are ACI, AC II, and ACIII adhesive mortar. Choosing the wrong one can lead to problems. ITEM 6 – DOUBLE GLUING – All flooring larger than 30x30cm requires double gluing, meaning we must apply mortar to the back of the flooring and to the surface to be glued. This can be done to ensure greater resistance. This applies to both floors and walls. ITEM 7 – OVERLAP – We must respect the overlap on plank-style flooring. There are standard overlaps and random overlaps. For the first, we must overlap the flooring approximately 15% of the size of the piece. For example, a 20cm x 1.20m floor would have an 18cm overlap. Random overlap, used for smaller planks, requires a 25% overlap. A 20cm x 60cm plank would have a 15cm overlap. If this is not respected, the floor may have bumps. ITEM 8 – FLOOR EXPANSION – The floor should be slightly away from the wall to allow for an expansion joint. This joint will be hidden later with the baseboard. If we glue the flooring to the wall, expansion can cause the floor to shift. ITEM 9 – VINYL FLOORING – Installing vinyl flooring directly over ceramic or porcelain tile is not recommended. Apply a leveling compound to the floor to avoid grout marks. ITEM 10 – GROUT – Do not use less grout than recommended by the manufacturer. Bold and rectified floors have their own requirements, and using less grout than necessary may cause displacement due to expansion. ITEM 11 – POROUS FLOORING – Avoid red-backed flooring in wet areas of the house as it can stain easily. Gray-backed porcelain tiles have a lower absorption rate and are safer. ITEM 12 – WATERPROOFING – The bathroom must be waterproofed with polymer mortar. If this is not done, it will not be possible to waterproof the floor after it is finished; ITEM 13 – FLOOR BEFORE LINING – This is a disadvantage because you will have to spend money to protect the floor, and without this protection, the plasterer may damage the floor when installing the plaster recess; ITEM 14 – DIFFERENT BATCHES – Using floor tiles from different batches may result in different tones; ITEM 15 – PAGE – We must choose the correct size of the floor to avoid excessive cutting; Here are the videos mentioned: VINYL FLOORING:    • PISO VINÍLICO VALE A PENA O PISO CLICADO O...   FLOORING WITHOUT SKIRTING BOARDS:    • NÃO PRECISA DE RODAPÉ - PISOS QUE NÃO USAM...      • 10 DECORAÇÕES FORA DE MODA -ITENS QUE NÃO ...      • 10 DICAS SIMPLES PARA DEIXAR SUA SALA CHIQUE      • 10 DICAS SIMPLES PARA DEIXAR SUA CASA CHIQ...      • 5 PISOS QUE NUNCA USARIA NA MINHA CASA E 5...      • 10 DECORAÇÕES QUE ENVELHECEM SUA CASA ITEN...      • 10 TENDÊNCIAS DE DECORAÇÃO QUE VÃO SAIR DE...      • 10 IDEIAS DE DECORAÇÃO QUE NÃO SÃO MAIS TÃ...      • 10 TENDÊNCIAS DE DECORAÇÃO QUE VÃO SAIR DE...      • CONSERTANDO DECORAÇÕES FORA DE MODA - COMO...   Don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE ON THE CHANNEL, ACTIVATE THE BELL and SHARE with anyone who might like this topic.
