El Distrito FUTURISTA Español que Facturó Millones y Colapsó

Plaza Imperial in Zaragoza was conceived as the future of leisure and commerce. It generated millions of euros and today is completely abandoned, and by the time you read this, it will likely be buried under rubble. Part Two:    • La Realidad del Fracaso del Mayor MALL Esp...   Plaza Imperial opened its doors in September 2008 as one of Aragon's major commercial projects. At its inauguration, it boasted 177 businesses and an enormous size: 159,000 m² of built area, 132,000 m² of surface area, and 5,810 parking spaces, in addition to a unique feature on the Iberian Peninsula: an internal monorail connecting different areas of the complex. The center's initial goal was to reach up to 15 million customers per year. But as time passed, the giant began to fade: years later, only a small fraction of the original 177 stores remained. Today, we explore its corridors, shops, and back rooms to understand how a place designed for thousands of people ended up transformed into a post-apocalyptic scene: closed shops, cinemas and entertainment areas with a post-apocalyptic feel… and the sensation of walking through an abandoned futuristic city.
